A flick through the library
As of 2020, our little library contains 10 cookbooks published between 1868 and 1987 with at least one book per decade between 1900 and 1980.
8 of these were found online or in antique bookshops across London.
The 2 'babies' of our collection (The Complete Colour Cookbook, 1977 & The Best of Cooking, 1987) belonged to Miss HD's great grandmother, Bessie.
Most of our recipes have been recreated exactly as written - with varying levels of success!
